San Francisco, California -- April 10, 2001 - eTranslate, Inc. today announced four promotions to support the company's plan of offering the industry's only enterprise-level Web globalization service. eTranslate works closely with Fortune 1000 companies to provide a return on investment while helping them decrease the costs associated with this process.
The promotions are: Eduardo D'Antonio, Vice President, Operations; Dave Lawson, Vice President, Advanced Applications; Joshua Morris, Vice President, Marketing; and Christoph Mosing, Vice President, Enterprise Solutions.
"Our goal is to offer a suite of enterprise-level software products that will allow industry leaders to maximize their investment on Web globalization," said Janet Heppner, CEO of eTranslate. "Introducing our GlobalLink product at the beginning of the year was an important step forward and the individuals we promoted have the knowledge and experience to help make our goal a reality."
In January, eTranslate released GlobalLinkú, a Web-based localization management system that allows companies to tap into eTranslate's worldwide network of multilingual specialists, enabling them to "go global" at an accelerated speed. GlobalLink streamlines the content localization process by automating tasks that otherwise would be time-consuming, costly and prone to human error.
Mr. D'Antonio has solid experience in the localization industry, ranging from language to technical and managerial positions. Prior to eTranslate, Mr. D'Antonio was Executive Vice President of Operations at SimulTrans where he was responsible for all production and quality assurance functions for worldwide process integration and establishing strategic partnerships with language suppliers.
Mr. Lawson, one of the original employees of eTranslate, has 22 years of operational experience in high technology management, software engineering and product development within the Internet and computer game industries. Prior to eTranslate, Mr. Lawson served as Chief Technology Officer of Dream Logic, Inc., where he was responsible for the design and technical specification of broadband Internet and entertainment architecture including technology prototyping, Internet/Intranet design, and production.
With a strong background in strategy, business development, and marketing, Mr. Morris initially joined eTranslate as Director of Corporate Development to define eTranslate's business strategy and still serves as the Vice President of that department. Prior to joining eTranslate, Mr. Morris served as the Director of Business Development for PlanetRX.com where he was responsible for the company's online marketing program.
A true veteran of the Web globalization industry, Mr. Mosing brings 10+ of extensive experience in professional services, international business development and global information technologies. Most recently, Mr. Mosing served as Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Logos Corporation where he was responsible for managing the company's international sales, professional services and information technology groups. During his tenure he also designed and implemented the company's first automated, Web-based translation service, on the basis of an ASP business model.
