San Francisco, California -- December 18, 2000 -- As part of its plan to be the world's leading Web globalization solutions provider, eTranslate, today named Janet Heppner as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. Heppner joins eTranslate from SAP America, where she was Senior Vice President and General Manager. Current CEO Charlie Baxter will become Chairman of the Board. Heppner will also serve on eTranslate's board.

"Janet will help eTranslate take advantage of this rapidly expanding market opportunity while building a leading technology company," said John Flannery, Managing Director of GE Capital and eTranslate board member. "Janet's proven ability to sell enterprise technology solutions to industry leaders, combined with company's experienced management team and GloblalLink technology, positions eTranslate as offering the best Web globalization solution for Fortune 500 companies."

As Senior Vice President and General Manager at SAP America, Heppner had profit and loss responsibility for SAP's largest sector - a $550M business unit - while developing high profile customers in the high technology, automotive, engineering and construction, and aerospace and defense industries. Prior to joining SAP, Heppner spent seven years at IBM in sales and management positions, where she twice earned the prestigious Eagle Award given to the top one-percent of the sales force. She also spent six years in sales and management positions with ASK and Cincom.

"eTranslate is positioned to dominate the Web globalization industry," said Heppner. "Over the past 18 months, Charlie Baxter has built a great foundation, with an outstanding team, and innovative technology that is poised for market leadership."

"This is the right move at the right time for eTranslate," said Baxter.
